With Europe s top-tiers really reaching the business end of the season, we have another stacked schedule on our hands. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.
Saturday April 30th
BST 15:00 Watford vs Burnley
Starting with Saturday s guests, while many across the Premier League might have been shocked to see Sean Dyche leave Turf Moor earlier in the month, Burnley are enjoying a recent purple patch. Appearing to have found an immediate boost under interim boss Mike Jackson, the Clarets have really breathed life back into their charge for survival. Playing their way out of the bottom-three and desperate to widen their buffer this weekend, the Lancashire-based outfit were last seen putting in another eye-catching display. Picking up a gritty 1-0 victory at home against European outsiders Wolves, Burnley have lost just one of their last five top-flight contests. Likewise, managing to muster seven points from their last three Premier League contests, they have also found some recent resolve at the back. With their recent resurge highlighted by a 2-0 victory against Southampton on April 21st, the Clarets should be looking to cash in on a struggling Watford. Despite turning to one-time England boss Roy Hodgson earlier in the year, it looks like the Hornets are freefalling their way back down to the Championship. Winning just one of their previous nine Premier League contests and gaining a woeful reputation for their issues on home soil, there is no doubt that an away draw no bet can be found at attractive odds this weekend.
Tip: Burnley draw no bet @ 5/6
15:00 Blackpool vs Derby
Putting in another impressive display as they secured a deserved 2-0 victory against an already-relegated Barnsley in midweek, Blackpool are enjoying an eye-catching run of form. While the Orangers might almost find themselves sat in Championship limbo, they do have their sights set on clinching a top-half finish. Gaining a host of plaudits since making their second-tier return last summer, Neil Critchley s men have lost just one of their previous five outings. Storming their way to a stunning 6-1 romp against Birmingham on April 18th, the one-time Liverpool coach has also seen his side continue to impress at Bloomfield Road. On a run that saw them claim a 1-0 win against Swansea prior to March s international break, it should be noted that Blackpool have lost just a pair of their last nine contests on home soil, a run that stems all the way back to December 29th. On the flip side, with it already confirmed that Derby will be plying their trade in League One next season, it appears that Wayne Rooney s men are limping their way over the finish line. Last seen getting hit with a 3-1 defeat at home against Bristol City, the one-time England skipper has seen his side lose three of their last four Championship contests. Likewise, remarkably losing each of their previous 10 straight fixtures away from Pride Park, we re backing a home victory here.
Tip: Blackpool win @ 10/11
15:00 Aldershot vs Notts County
Starting with Saturday s guests, putting in a routine display earlier in the week as they secured a routine 3-0 romp away at Dover, the mood in Notts County s camp should be at a real high. Once again tipped as a landslide pick to clinch another play-off spot this season, the Magpies have now won each of their last three National League outings by an aggregate score of 10-2. Quickly gaining a reputation for their free-scoring displays in the final third, it should also be noted that Ian Burchnall s men have lost just one of their last eight fifth-tier contests, a run that stems back to March 15th. Still looking to try and make a late charge for the top-three, they have also continued to impress with their displays on the road. Including that 3-0 victory away at Dover a few days ago, it should be noted that Notts have collected nine points from their last four matchups away from Meadow Lane. Picking up an action-packed 3-2 win when they last faced off against Saturday s hosts back in September, Aldershot could face another tough test here. Despite being last seen picking up a 1-1 draw against Bromley, the Reds have managed to win just a pair of their last 16 outings. Likewise, winning just one of their last 11 matchups in Hampshire, we re backing an away victory here.
